We’re now only a few weeks away from the 2016 Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) at Moscone West in San Francisco. The event is being held April 27th – 28th, with some special “Day Zero” workshop sessions taking place the day before for those who want to deep dive into several different technological areas! This is my third time being involved with SDC, and this year is shaping up to be a conference developers can really benefit from.
There is so much I want to share with you about SDC, but I also don’t want to spoil any of the surprises we have planned for the conference. From keynote speeches, technical sessions, the ability to interact with Samsung developers directly and, of course, the fun events planned, SDC will be a hot ticket.
What I can say is that we have lots of interesting demos in the works for SDC and exciting announcements for the future of the Internet of Things (IoT).
Whether you’re already working in the IoT area or simply interested in it, there will be discussions and sessions on interoperability between devices and applications, security, home gateways, introductory and advanced sessions with the SmartThings ecosystem and more.
The team has been working really hard to make it easier for you to develop your IoT projects. With tools, on-device services, management capabilities and partnerships, SDC will give you the opportunity to see first-hand where IoT development is headed.
We’re confident that after the two days at SDC — or three if you attend Day Zero — you will walk away from the conference with a better understanding of the market opportunities in IoT. Specifically, you can talk to some of the key partners who are working with us to help grow the IoT ecosystem and learn about the way IoT devices store data. Typically, data is stored in product-specific silos — we’re confident we have a better way of doing it, but I won’t spoil the surprise.
For those of you who have yet to work with Samsung ARTIK™, SDC will be a great way to get some hands-on time with our family of IoT modules and see for yourself how quickly you can get up and running with your own IoT project.
It will be great to see past SDC attendees and to meet many new developers as well. Join us for an opportunity to introduce yourself to the ARTIK team. During the show, I encourage you to find me and share what’s on your mind about IoT development. I am eager to hear about your ideas, projects and suggestions for how Samsung can work with you even better.
